the Workhorse Movement.
Lineup: Myron, vocals
Cornbread, vocals
Freedom, guitar
Pete, bass
Joe, drums.
Formed: 1994 with the initial
trio of Myron, Freedom and Joe while at University of Michigan, Mt Pleasant.
The guys dropped out of college, moved to Detroit and soon picked up Pete
on bass and a second
vocalist, Cornbread. The band signed to a local label, Overcore
Records and with hard work and intense
performances were signed to RoadRunner Records. The band has toured
with many bands which include
Sevendust, Gravity Kills, US Bombs, Pitchshifter and Vanilla Ice.
Sound: "Workhorse’s
heavy sound is a hybrid of rap core similar to Limp Bizkit and ’70s stoner
rock like Black
Sabbath Funk, hip-hop, psychedelia and jazz can also be heard in songs
about the devil and Motown."Detroit News.
